How to clean your robe

What you'll need...

  1. A tablespoon of mild liquid detergent - We don't recommend powder detergent as it takes longer to dissolve in water, resulting in the robe being in water for longer than recommended. This will cause damage to the crystal work or the print area.
  2. A large bucket or bowl big enough for about 3 liters of water.
  3. 3 liters of lukewarm water
  4. A small wet cloth or a soft brush to wipe the tan residue on the robe.

Cleaning instructions:

  1. Your goal is to clean your robe in the shortest amount of time possible. The quicker you can get it done and hung to dry, the better.

  2. Mix the recommended amount of liquid detergent and lukewarm water into the bucket. You may need more detergent depending on the amount of water and tan residue on your suit.

  3. Prepare another bucket filled with clean water so you can rinse your robe quickly after you are done with spot cleaning it. This helps reduce the amount of time your robe is in water.

  4. Place your robe in the detergent water. The tan residue should start to come off within 30 seconds.

  5. Only clean the dirty spots to save time. If you need to spot clean the area where it is decorated with crystals, be as gentle as you can. Use the brush or wet cloth to rub the tan residue. Try not to spend longer than 3 minutes cleaning your robe in submerged water.

  6. You will find that the glue behind the crystals are swelled up and turn white after the suit is wet for a while. Do not panic. Also, DO NOT try to remove it. Once your garment is completely dry, it will look the same again, opaque and no longer white.

  7. Take the robe out of the detergent water and gently squeeze the water out with two hands. DO NOT TWIST OR WRING.

  8. Rinse the robe in another bucket that is filled with clean water. Do this for one minute and again gently squeeze the excess water out.

  9. Hang your robe in the shade and let dry. Avoid putting directly under the sun to prevent color fading.
